Costuming
Costumed events and other cosplay are a large, though optional, part of what the Lightsaber Knights do. Many members of LK have costumes approved by Rebel Legion and the 501st Legion, and/or are members of other local costuming groups.
Costuming is strongly encouraged by the group as a whole, with a particular emphasis being placed on a costume's quality and accuracy. however, it is also important that a costume not impede one's movement, as that will be a detriment to one's overall control and ability with to weild a lightsaber.
Costumes can play a vital role in the activities of the Lightsaber Knights. Often, the group has been asked to help participate in local events or perform a demonstration, for which having a quality costume helps add an air of professionalism to the group's overall apperiance. Examples of events that the Lightsaber Knights have been invited to perform at include the San Antonio Symphony, Texas Comic con, and San Antonio's Fiesta Flambeau Parade.
A common expression among the Lightsaber Knights is that one's costume should be an accessory to their lightsaber, not the other way around.
